Bellevue WA. My favorite thing between October and May. Kind of a cross between a bluegrass festival, Dead concert, house party and jam. I'll be there watching some shows and hanging out in the suites on the 3rd floor.

Wintergrass
I'll be there Friday afternoon, Saturday and maybe a bit on Sunday.
Might be fun to have a little AGF jam. |

I'm planning to check it out on Friday, hoping I benefit from skills osmosis. Let the revelry begin!

Wintergrass Update
Just a quick note on what I saw at Wintergrass yesterday (Friday).
Show seems bigger and busier this year. More vendors and luthiers attending. Saw some really nice guitars from Irvin, Bent Twig, and Northwood. Newcomer James White had a couple nice instruments as well. Jayson Bowerman had some nice stuff in his booth and indicated he is going to be pretty busy this year. Preston Thompson folks had some really nice stuff on display. Grenedillo! Taylor had, as usual, a nice assortment representing their full line. Local vendor, The Guitar Store had a nice selection of Gibson acoustics. Eastman was also well represented. Got to meet AGFer Mandobart and had a nice chat. Hope to meet a couple more today. As always, top notch musicians and all around acoustic music immersion ruled the day. Certainly a worthwhile event, even if Bluegrass isn't neccessarily your thing. Jay |
