Default Lucky 13 arrived!

After quite a wait, it came on Tuesday afternoon. I had to wait until Wednesday to play it (darn work). So far I am very pleased, but a full evaluation will have to wait for a few days. I will compare it to my Rainsong WS-1000 classic and the CA Cargo and give my impressions. I am a dedicated CF fan, if you could not tell already.

Many thanks to Joe at Blackbird!

I will write up a good verbal description ASAP. Sorry, but please don't ask for pictures or sound clips. I refuse to set up a separate photo and soundcloud hosting accounts just to add pics or recordings here at AGF. Mine is purely stock and looks a LOT like these web site photos:

Congrats, Earl! No doubt it is a beauty - got any photos? (ducking)

I haven't had the opportunity to play an L13; looking forward to your thoughts, when the timing works.

Enjoy!

Well Jim, if you and the blonde stop in Boise on your next trip to the Pacific Northwet you can try mine! I'd love to try your Emerald X7 at the same time.

Congrats Earl! Happy for you and look forward to your thoughts. I think that is one heck of a guitar from what I've heard and seen.

Almost happened on the way east this last time. That sounds like a good get-together.

Too early to make that call (the boss tried to get a commitment from us before we left). But I'll be looking forward (from afar) on your take on the L13.

Best wishes,
Jim

Earl49....

Congrats! I too have really become a fan of alternative materials such as carbon fiber and Ekoa. They are quite simply no-worry no-fuss instruments. I look forward to hearing your thoughts after you settle down with her for a few days. Also, to quote a line from Ms. Brittany Spears, "Ooops...I did it again"...bought a geetar sight unseen as the fabulous folks at Emerald are starting to build me a "Woody" X20-12. Enjoy your Lucky 13 sir! I really liked working with Joe and team at Blackbird.

Cheers..

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. I've spent another 90 minutes playing it today but still have not a good opportunity for the direct comparison with other CF and wood guitars. Full review is still pending....please stand by.....

Congrats! Love my Lucky13... It is the perfect CF guitar for me. Perfect blend of tone, size and playability.
