If Tom will let me come, he'll let anybody in! Not only am I not a very good player, I deliberately avoided playing the guitars very much out of fear I would fall in love with something I couldn't afford! I still enjoyed every minute of the event and can't wait for the next one. (And just so I don't give the wrong impression: I did manage to audition at least one guitar by each of the luthiers in a quiet, semi-private place, and though I did not manage to avoid falling in love, I didn't propose marriage to any of them.)

Having followed the coverage here of the event last year, I'm super excited about attending in person. And I really do appreciate the warm welcome to those of us new to and not yet very good at this six string obsession!

Default Come one, come all!

Hey, I'm no master player, and I have far more awesome guitars than I am worthy of, but this event is definitely not about that!

It's about coming together to drool over stunning guitars, the camaraderie of meeting and jawing with other like-minded folks, and enjoying the world-class hospitality of Tom, Kathy, and Dash, the nicest people (and dog) you'd ever hope to meet and get to know!

Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of this wonderful event!

We are very happy to have you, it is a blast and you will have a great time. Hey you might even pick up a hint here or there without knowing it. I learned a new chord shape just watching Ben Wilborn play last year that I use all the time now!

Thank you so very much Nemoman, I may need to hire you to write the announcement next year!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a wonderful New Year, we still have a few spots open! It should prove to be even better than last year!

And meeting new-old friends, and having an incredibly fun impromptu jam session! A few, actually, but ours was a standout moment for me.

Mike we all want you and your better half to make it!!!! It will not be the same without you and we will hold spots for you.

Everyone else, we are literally down to 5 spots left if everyone that has expressed interest follows through, so if you have been thinking about it, just contact me so I can get you on the list at least. It promises to be a fantastic weekend for sure!

For those attending, I'm curious, how many are bringing a guitar? I joked with Kathleen and Tom that it's a lot of pressure to decide what to bring, like figuring out what to wear on a first date. LOL.

Seriously, bringing one or not?

Actually, I am picking up my new Sexauer FT-0-C JB/2 German Spruce / Cuban Mahogany and yes, you will be able to audition it.

I attended last year, and brought a guitar. Many people brought guitars- cases were all over the entranceway to Tom's living room. Very cool! And... I did play the guitar I brought, but mainly because I was looking for a new, quite specific instrument and I was able to play the guitar I brought to compare with many others. Ended up with the Lion model that Ben brought to show and I'm loving it. Other than that, I didn't really play the guitar I brought. There are so many wonderful guitars at all the luthier tables and people were also sharing the guitars they brought. Also, Cigarfan and others were so generous letting us play the guitars they had ordered and were picking up at BIG. I played Cigarfan's Kostel!

BUT..... there were several spontaneous playing and singing circles and I just sang, but I could have gotten my guitar out and played. Also, I didn't do a lesson, but if you are doing anything like that, it would be good to have your own guitar. I brought a smaller guitar so I could fit it on the plane with me (your Wilborn Lion would work and it could be cool to contrast it with Nemoman's new Arum).

Too much going on this Spring to go this year, but I'm bummed about missing. It's going to be something!
