Default Battery powered pedals to mains

I was think regarding my Red Eye preamp pedal. It only runs with a 9v battery.
I brought it a few years ago from a friend from the states. The pedal is made in the States. Would it be possible to take it to a guitar tech and have it so I can run it on mains? That would save a lot on batteries.
It does run on phantom power but I like using the high impendence loop effect output.
Would there be earthing problems a d a hum if its was converted so I can use a 9v mains plug?

A RedEye has a 200+ hour battery life with an alkaline battery (in order to run off phantom power it needs to be a very low power device). It is hand assembled but tightly packed. Your tech might need to use the battery space to place a (presumably the standard negative tip 5.5/2.1 mm OD/ID) jack. I think you could safely put a new not rechargeable lithium 9v battery in it and have 10 years of service.

I've got an old distortion pedal that doesn't have a jack, I just put a 'reverse' 9 volt clip lead onto the internal battery connector, and run the wire out the battery access panel. Most power supplies like the 'One Spot' come with an adapter connector to do that.
If your preamp only has a screw-on cover plate, you could drill a hole or slot in it for the wire.
