Boss AD-10 acoustic pre amp connections
Good day all,
Need some help... Sunday at church I used my AD-10 for the first time going through the FOH I used one of the xlr outs on the back of the unit.... Well, I got signal and sound but it seems the signal went out pre effects Mi had my delay on as well as the reverb but no effects were present in the sound. It was a dry signal... Please advise..... Thanks Roy |

Actually, check the output setting and make sure it is set to "NH." If it's set to "PP" then no effects would come out of the L output. Press the MENU button five times until "H5" flashes briefly in the display. Then press the Up/Down arrows to choose "nH" Also, for the Ambience effect, press the AMBIENCE button until both the XLR and LINE LEDs are lit. These parameters are already set as the factory default settings, so if you have done the factory reset, things should be working fine the next time you're connecting to the PA. Let us know if you have any other issues. Kind regards, Roland Product Support roy rodrig roy rodriguez Sep 19, 10:41 AM PDT The unit works fine when I use the 1/4 inch output. Just when I plugged in the xlr cable did the signal go out post effects..... At home plugging into my acoustic amp everything works as it should Should the unit be switched to stereo or mono when going out to FOH? Roland Pro Roland Product Support (Roland Corporation) Sep 19, 10:36 AM PDT Hi Roy, It would be hard to determine what was causing this at the time. The effects are always routed to the XLR outputs when the effects are on. Were you using battery power at the time? They may need to be replaced. If you were using a power adapter, be sure to use the BOSS PSA-120S only to power the AD-10. Universal power adapters can cause malfunction. Also, have you had a chance to check the unit since Sunday to see if you're at least getting effects out of the headphones output? Try a factory reset as well to see if that helps; 1. Power on while holding the NOTCH [1] and [2] buttons. 2. After the unit powers on, release them and then press the MEMORY button on the right side below the LED display. 3. When "ot" shows in the display, power off and then on again. Let us know if any of those things help. Kind regards, Roland Product Support |

Boss AD10 with an Acoustic A1000 Amp
I'm getting a Boss AD10 on Friday and I intend to run it through sn Acoustic A1000 am. What is the best way to set it up? Do I run it from my Martin to the Boss and then into the amp with a dry setting on the amp effects?
