Guitar stolen in 2012....
It was on 23 September 2012 that I had my 1971 Epiphone guitar stolen. It was a maple FT-150BL, serial number: 268610. Fishman rare earth blend pick up across sound hole as in sound hole picture. Also guitar case and bag which were stolen too.
REWARD for information leading to its return. This link goes to a public Facebook album with pictures. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1&l=d4d18003a8 Thank you for reading/looking.

It could be helpful to mention the city this happened in.
Just a thought.

Thanks guys. Post copied to Stolen Gear page on Facebook.
It was stolen from my car which was in a car park near Harefield (Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire) in the UK.

Sorry to hear of that. I can’t imagine. May I ask why you’re looking for it now, 6 years later...

In fact, I have been looking for it FOR the last 6 years!
I still hope to get it back one day! It was mine for over 30 years.

Somehow I think you probably meant 2018. Had to check to see if this was a zombie thread... but have to assume just a typo.

True enough. Seemed odd that 6 years had gone by and interestingly stolen in September and now doing something about it. I never claimed to be the best reader.

Not to hijack the thread, but my daughter has a similar model. An Epiphone FT something (I'll have to call tomorrow and ask her the exact model number). Inside the label says "Made in Kalamazoo Michigan", so I don't know if that means anything about the quality of manufacture. It could use some maintenance.
So my question is: It seems to have the same bridge as as the FT 150 (and may be the same model number) which has two large screws on each side of the bridge. What do those screws do? They must have some function. Sorry to break in, but I didn't want to start an entire thread for this one simple question.

Good luck. I had a 1957 Martin D-18 stolen from me in 1978. It hasn’t surfaced yet.

Perhaps we’ll get lucky and one of the serious Gibson guys like “zombywoof” or “J-185-4me” will see this thread and provide us with more precise information than I can, but it seems to me that Gibson used bolts to hold the bridges on from sometime in the 1950’s through much of the 1960’s. It would make sense that they’d use the same construction method on Epiphones, as well, since that’s their budget brand. It’s not only Gibson/Epiphone that used bolts to hold their bridges on; I’m pretty sure Harmony and Kay did it on some models, and Gallagher guitars (which are not cheapos but professional quality instruments) use that design to this day. It does have an impact on the tone, bringing out more treble response and sustain, which can be beneficial for some guitar models. Hope that makes sense. Wade Hampton Miller |

You sure he's not talking about the saddle adjusting screws Wade?
If so, they are used to raise and lower the action Vindibona.
