Seeking Gibson L-3 knowledge!

Hi! I made a similar post over on the jazz guitar forum and am hoping to have better luck here. I am interested in a 1925 L-3 but am nervous I don’t know enough about them. I’ve read everything I could find, looked at every listing both sold and for sale, and listened to a bunch.
But I’ve only found one to play, so can’t compare it to another, and am nervous it won’t be ‘a good one’. I loved it, but as I said I don’t have a point of reference. If anyone has anecdotal stories or things to look for, that would be great. Or if you could answer specific questions like

What to look for/avoi?
How much should I pay?
How much value does original
Case add?

That would be wonderful. But really, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
