Marty, you purchased a top line Squier model. They aren’t using ceramic magnets in that series. It is surely ALNICO II or ALNICO 5 magnets in that Atomic humbucker. I have an Atomic humbucker in an inexpensive Stratocaster Performer and have never felt I needed to swap it out. It performs as a humbucker should.
