White Rabbit Cruise Lines?
Been seeing these TV commercials last few days.
Seems an odd choice for a TV cruise line ad? |

That crossed my mind too.

Well the commercial seems to want to show that their ships are a "wonderland" of sorts. Certainly no stranger than Royal Caribbean's ad from the early 2000's using Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life" which is actually a song about heroin.

First thought; I hope the adult man sitting beside the pool with the young boy at the start is that child's father.
Creepy.

That commercial isn't a good as those Sandals adds. Do the guests really look like that?

What is more disturbing is the way Grace has allowed her song to be used for something like that: smells of selling out. Is she that desperate for cash?

Reading the thread title, I envisioned an acid test cruise. I mean a big boat full of typical cruise folks getting dosed. This is something the world needs.

Oh please. It's her song to license as she sees fit. Hardly "selling out" since she's not had a hit song in decades. Nope, just a smart move by a songwriter.

I haven't seen the commercial but I have taken a Celebrity cruise and the ship, staff, food, entertainment and even the captain were outstanding. I had mentally prepared myself to dislike the whole experience but it ended up being my favorite trip and my wife and I plan to take another cruise with the same line someday. Our ship was the Solstice.

Micro dosing with LSD is popular today with some creative professionals. Maybe a few upped their intake and went on a full trip.
If that ad had been played at a Jefferson Airplane or Starship concert it would have been a big hit.

Like many of the ads these days - based on the music, there's not much question who they are targeting
Still, a bizarre choice.

My wife and I were just discussing this last night in regards to medicine commercials...all the songs they are choosing match the demographics of the age group needing the meds...most people would just think hey there is a great old song and pretty soon you are drawn in to the statin drug etc. Seems obvious when you actually think about it, but most don't give it much thought, pretty smooth marketing.
If that is what they are doing here, I would not be interested, thank you.
