Default Anyone following Australian Open Tennis?

Serena Williams just got knocked out by China’s Wang.

Who’s your favourite male and female in this tournament?

My favourites are Federer & Nadal.

Favourite female is Naomi Osaka.

Yes, tennis is my second passion after guitar. Watched Wang beat Serena tonight in an epic battle. I am old school and like the big three on the men’s side; Federer, Nadal and the Joker.

Naomi Osaka is knocked out by Coco Gauff in the third round!

Coco beat Venus Williams in an earlier round.

Can she win this Grand Slam at 15? Definitely possible! And she’ll create history to become the youngest GS winner!

Just watched the Federer match. Incredible. I was kind of surprised that the fans seemed to be rooting for him, yet playing an Aussie!

Federer is one of the all-time greats, and a good guy to boot, I'm not surprised.

I don't know but she's getting better - quickly. Looking forward to watching here for the next decade, or more.

Coco Gauff was beaten by fellow American Sofia Kenin (21 years old) in the 4th Round. No fairy tale ending for Coco this tournament...but there’s still 3 more Grand Slams this year.

Well can't help but being a bit parochial but it was a relief to see Ash get through to the quarter finals in a very close match. My favourite other women's player is Petra Kvitova who Barty will be playing Tuesday. Go Ash!

Kyrgios up against Raffa tomorrow, Nadal probably & justifiably favourite but Kyrgios has got him a few times so should be close. Was an absolutely nailbiting 5 setter last night that put the aussie through.

Will spend the rest of the night watching to see if the Fed gets up against the Hungarian Fucsovics. Has been a great open so far.

I will admit I am not a big tennis fan but there is something about Coco that draws my interest. To be so young and to compete at this level. She has the heart of a lion. I wish her well in the future. I hope she can remain 15 when the match is done. There is more to life than tennis. We all needed our childhood. She is focused. If I met her tomorrow I would give her a hug.

Dominic Thiem is 1 set up against Rafael Nadal. 7:6 Very exciting match. Watch if you’re a tennis fan!

Edit: Thiem won in 4 sets.

Congratulations to Sofia Kenin winning the women's in a spectacular comeback last night.
Although she seemed a dark horse with so much attention on other players she really was the standout player through the finals.
The way she turned around the 5th game of the last set from being down 0-40 defined the match.
Gracious in victory, very grounded & with good people in her camp including her dad we will see a lot more from her. Well done.
