Default Small Board from Ammoon!

A small board from Ammoon (£23 GBP with soft case).
Added some taller rubber feet.

Sonic Research ST-300 mini > Diamond CPR-1 > Boss OC-3 > Diamond MLJ > Carl Martin 3 Band Parametric Pre-Amp into a Genz Benz Shen 150LT

Powered by a Harley Benton Powerplant Jr which fits in a strange but practical place! Used 'links' with cable ties to fit all pedals (due to feet/rubber bottom etc.) except tuner which is velcro. Power supply held with ties too.

The ST-300 tuner is great to add a sweetened tuning (James Taylor) for my Yairi DY75, whilst using a standard tuning for my Takamine F365S.
Only pedal I'd like to add would be a Ditto Jam. I'm curious to see if it can keep time from the guitar rather than the drums......

Default Tonedexter send/return

The Gibson has a K&K on tip, and a DiMarzio magnetic on ring.

The board functions as a dual acoustic/electric rig.
For a very satisfying acoustic sound that can go fairly loud: K&K through ToneDexter.

For electric sounds: DiMarzio w/ optional Sparkle Drive distortion into San Amp into ToneDexter's effects return, for control of mute/tune and boost.

For organ sounds: Dimarzio into a modified B9 into Sans Amp back to ToneDexter.

I plug this straight into the full range PA via the XLR DI output on ToneDexter.

I use this with my three piece band doing 60s and 70s pop music.

The setup by James May has set me thinking..can the return be used as a second input to tonedexter if I want to switch between k & k and mag on a stereo cable going into a ABY switch...

That's a Boss DM-2w delay pedal. It's going into the Effects Loop on the ToneDexter. Spent $1 on an empty cigar box to mount them. The wall warts and an 8' extension cord are inside the box. I put some rubber feet under the cigar box.

Yes very clean and nice board! Beautiful guitar as well! I am assuming that is the Martin Ambertone? What pickup is in that guitar and how does the baggs session work? I was considering buying one.

Thanks, man. No, it's a Gibson J45 with a K&K Pure Mini installed.

I really like the Session pedal. I had a Session DI in the past and sold it to try something else and ended up missing it. That comp/EQ knob takes what I don't like hearing in an acoustic pickup and dials it almost all the way out. Also, whatever EQ/compression it's doing ends up making the guitar fit really well in a band mix.

Also, the other guitar I play a lot is a Taylor 314e and the Session is just a match made in heaven w/ the ES2 system IMO. The comp/eq knob gets rid of the quack and the saturation knob thickens up the sound.

Thank you! That is great to know. I just purchased a Taylor with ES2 and wondered how that might work. It sounds great as is and I would mainly want this for my other guitars. But if it works well for the es2, that’s great!

Just curious, what strings are you playing on that Taylor?

I have 3 Taylor guitars with es2 and found the Fishman platinum pro worked the best. I had the Session DI at the same time to compare. I also use the Fishman toneDeq; I got the same results with the es2 also.

Default Acoustic Pedalboards - Post yours!!

I use a Helix Floor. Here’s a picture of the signal chain for my dual source Rare Earth Blend + k&k, input through returns 3&4.

The volume blocks at the beginning (bypassed) are set to -60db, I turn them on/off in different snapshots if I want just one pickup or the other. The compressor is also bypassed in this snapshot, but can be engaged in others.
