First Time Hairline Bridge Repair Results
A before and after picture of my first attempt at repairing a hairline bridge crack. Took the first picture just after starting.
A little patchy, could've gone worse, could've gone better. From inspecting from a side angle it appears to have filled the full depth of the split. Next time I will make sure I have some thinner CA. https://imgur.com/a/Lw8nRaD |

That looks good. How did you do it?

Looks good. Keep going; fill the chip-out next to the 6th string slot.

Nice looking repair. A year ago I did a glue-and clamp on a much narrower crack on a used guitar I had just purchased. Now, a year more of amateur lutherie under my belt, I have a supply of bone dust and wood dust, and would probably do the fill-in technique like you did here.
Would any more experienced hands care to comment on the fill in vs. clamp shut option with a cracked bridge? |
