Hey Bay I have a Halcyon Figured Walnut/Sitka Advanced Jumbo now and it has been my everyday guitar for a year now. You won't be disappointed but you will be amazed. I have a New Guienea Walnut/Sitka SJ on the bending machine as we speak. These guitars are addictive I suggest you start saving for your second Halcyon now.

I'm in the queue for a NL-00 with a torrefied lutz top, ebony fretboard and bridge and rosewood back and sides.

What build # are you up to, Ed? And, are all those NL-00s custom orders or spec guitars (or dealer inventory)? Sounds like the NL is becoming one of your most popular models. I'm actually surprised this isn't more common.

The NL-00's are a mix of dealer and private. We do make a lot of them, but it might be because I recommend them to anyone looking for a smaller guitar.

This came in the mail on Friday. I finally had to put it down to give my hands a break. I'm going to do a NGD thread but here are a couple pics.

After perusing the Tinker/Halcyon websites, I'm left with three questions I'm hoping someone can answer for me:

* The Parlour model is the only model available with the short scale length, correct?

* What is the standard fretboard radius used on these guitars?

* What size fretwire does Tinker/Halcyon use?

Thanks.

That is so nice —*really close to what is on top of my list, except I would probably go with the Lutz top again. I hope you do some sound clips, because visually I'm in love with this thing. What will probably blow your mind for sure is playability.

No way could I do a NGD post, I would be too tempted to play it at every word written. I love the dark rosewood and maple binding. Is that ebony head stock veneer? I would love that to balance my light stained on my H OM.

Congratulations !!!

EDIT: Nice work, Ed !

My NL-00 has a 25" scale.

Ed uses a compound radius. I think 14" or 16" to 21" (feels like 16"-21")
Fret wire looks and feels larger than most production brands but not quite jumbo. I could be wrong though.

PJ, the headstock overlay is Rosewood.

I was excited to hear recently that Ed has started construction on my 000 12-fret ovangkol with lutz top and ebony fret board. These pictures of an NL-00 heighten my excitement. I'm looking forward to some good couch time this fall noodling for my dogs enjoyment.

No problem. I think scale length is customer choice on most models. I'm sure Ed will chime in eventually.

I've got a 000 12 fret too. Lutz over Padauk with ebony board & bridge. I like that set up a lot. I bet you'll love it. Mine's 25" scale.

Thinking about adding an NL as well...

My Halcyon will have a 25" scale as well. I went with Ovangkol and lutz hoping for something to complement my Taylor 522 mahogany 12-fret. I'm hoping for a little brightness in the treble range with out being "Taylor bright" if that makes sense.

Love that NL-00. For my tastes, it's the best looking model Ed makes. Curves that Cosmo Kramer would like.
