Which is best for beginner?

Hi which would you choose from out of these:

1) yamaha G-50-A 38 years old

2) dean espana

3) yamaha c-40

All in very good condition and are online auctions. I want it for my 10 year old daughter. Thanks.

I'm assuming they're all used.

My first choice would be the C40 since the neck profile is a bit more shallow than the old ones. The G50A is interesting but I haven't examined a sample. I don't like the low-end Dean classical guitars.

FWIW, I own a C40 and I carved a bone saddle for it. My friend (who is a better guitar player than me) thought it was a solid top when he heard me playing it. Showed him the specs and the sticker rosette.

Perhaps your daughter might prefer a Yamaha CS40 which is a 7/8 scale guitar.

I don't know the other two but I have a C40 and it's a nice guitar. I'm beginning to feel that I've outgrown it, and despite carving a bone saddle and replacing the nut with a carved bone one also, I find that perhaps it could have a bit more tonal colour, but it's been a trusty workhorse and I shall keep it for my younger son (my elder son is a leftie!)...

Guitar Center carries the Lucero brand, a beginners classical guitar - inexpensive.

For a few bucks I put in a bone saddle and lowered the setup a bit to make it easier to play and presto - it sounds as good as the $300 models.
