Excellent tournament this year. I've watched a lot of it. The quality of play has been outstanding, particularly on the women's side. ESPN's coverage has been terrific.

Agree! You won’t be rooting (supporting) any player from the Men’s or Women’s Semis?

This is one of those sporting events where the venue is almost more important than the outcome. I think Halep can beat Serena, but it wouldn't break my heart if it went either way. I love Roger's game and would like to see him win, but he's got a tall mountain to climb.

Wild guesses from me for the Women’s finalist because there’s hardly a repeat Grand Slam winner. First round (yesterday) and former winners like Naomi Osaka and Osteopanko are knocked out already.
Well done, 3 out of 4 ain't bad. Now can you tell me tomorrow's lottery numbers please?

I’m a fan of Federer. So I hope he wins and my vote goes to him too. It’s more a sentimental vote rather than an objective one. If he plays like he played against Nadal, then chances of him winning is greater. Fairy tales (miracles) do happen!

My vote goes to Halep. I’m not really a fan of Halep but just supporting the underdog. Sorry fans of Serena.

Odds to win:
Federer 47% vs Djokovic 53%
Halep 45% vs Serena 55%

I'm a huge Fed fan too. But, I feel bad for Joker. He's an amazing player and most of the world is either a Fed or Rafa fan so he gets a disproportionate (relative to his abilities and personality) amount of almost hate to some extent.

I like Joker... he's a good dude. He just happened to play in the wrong time for his own popularity.

Having said all that, I'll be rooting (slightly) for Roger though.

Incredible performance by Halep. Deserved win. Serena will have to wait a bit longer for that elusive 24th major.

Yep, and it wasn’t close. Serena looked slow and lumbering. #24 may never come.

I don't follow the sport, but did watch the last 2 sets of today's match. Amazing matchup! 5 hours of all-out effort, coming down to tiebreakers.

I don't like tiebreakers in any sport, don't believe it determines who's better, just who's luckier on the day. Might's well just flip a coin.

I don’t follow tennis much these days. I used to play a lot and was a pretty big fan, but I remember watching Laver and Roswell when Nastase was a young upstart. But Federer, Nadal, and Joko are as incredible a trio as has ever run into each other so I watched the men’s final on and off through the morning, and with Federer down a break in the fifth, I just watched - couldn’t walk away from it. Some incredible tennis. I wanted Federer, but after that cross court winner Joko hit to get back to deuce in that game Federer was serving for the match at 40-15, I decided I was fine with whoever won. I don’t know how Fed even took the court after the body punch of losing that game. But he came out and taught all the way to 12-12. Amazing.

I don’t agree that tiebreakers are luck - Joko won 3 of 3 yesterday, which is a LOT of luck. But they do reward a different approach and they clearly played to Joko’s advantage. I didn’t even realize they’d decided to allow final set breakers at Wimbledon and don’t love it, but if you’re gonna do it, waiting until 12-12 still allows for a bit of a war of attrition. Without it, I think they’d be getting ready to go back out today to resume at 20-20...

Amazing match. Glad I tuned in. Didn’t catch the women’s final - I just assume Serena’s gonna win. Guess it may be time to start paying attention again...

-Ray
