I actually prefer the white one too by a smidgen. It has a more classic/vintage vibe to it, but all the people here (friends and family) prefer Blackie. I started to wonder if I was in the super minority, so I started this thread.

Chickee, that black on black Strat looks sweet! If ever I do decide to keep the black one, I'll definitely get a spare black pickguard for it.
Do you think you'll get rid of one?

The jury is still out on that. It probably makes more sense for me to sell another acoustic since I'm still overloaded on that front. We'll see.

Don’t go crediting me. Your family will be behind my door saying I’m taking food off the table or having little Jonny not get school shoes!..just sell off one of those light weight boxes and make room for one more heavy plank of musical muscle!

There's just something about an Olympic White Strat...

Up until 2 weeks ago, I had 14 Fender Strats.

I had a guitar purge and sold of 4 of them and a couple of amps.

Now my '10 Fender Olympic White Strat is the only one left of my new strats.

All my other Strats in my collection are 1990 or older now.

I'm partial to Oly White, so I say keep the Oly.

To me it's more Classic looking.

Keep them both and set one up for slide. Get down with your Lowell George or Sonny Landreth selfs...

The Black and White make a great pair. Something you could potentially do is change the pickups in one of them (keeping the original aside) so that the two guitars sound different. If the routing is H-S-H you could get another pickguard and put a humbucker in there.

I really like your new Stratocasters, Chedeng. I’m very happy you are keeping both!!
You’re a better person than I, that’s for sure. I just can’t let go of any guitars in the house. Although, I have been putting a list together of who gets what when I am gone. I hope that’s not for quite a while, although my wife may feel differently! Bahahaha
frankie

Addendum: I just looked at that gorgeous guitar you have up for sale. When it comes to acoustic guitars I don’t know anything except how it feels, how it sounds and how it looks. Aside from that I am a a dunce. But my lord, that guitar is stunning. If that’s the one you are letting go I can’t imagine what else is in your stash???
