Default A very narrow nut

Alvarez is releasing a new Artist Elite Series Parlor Guitar. Cedar top with it looks like laminated Madagascar Ebony sides and back but check out that nut width toward the bottom in the specs below. Molly Tuttle would have trouble with that string spacing.
Body
Top wood: Solid AA North Western red cedar
Back & sides: Macassar ebony
Bracing pattern: MST1 tapered X bracing with asymmetric tone bars
Binding: Ebony binding and bevel armrest
Body finish: Premium light Shadowburst gloss
Neck
Fingerboard: Indian laurel fingerboard with 12th fret inlay
Neck wood: Mahogany
Scale length: 25”
Neck finish: Satin
Electronics
Pickup/preamp: Alvarez SYS100 pickup with soundhole console
Other
Bridge: Indian laurel Bi-level, PPS synthetic bone bridge pins
Saddle & nut: Real bone
Inlays: Abalone and MOP
Tuner: Premium chrome tuners
Strings: D’Addario EXP16’s
Nut width: 1/34”
Special features: ATR wood curing

1 & 3/4" is pretty average now, although not for 12 fret smaller guitars, but as this is an electric, or electro, it is aimed at strummers, so, they don't want wider fretboards.

The ad says 1/34” not 1 3/4”. It’s quite a difference. I know it’s a typo, it struck me funny.

Why yes, 1/34TH (.0294117) would indeed be a bit narrow and, I suspect, rather difficult to play.

Me too! All I could think of was some gnome trying to play it and having a hard time doing so.
