Default A flight of guitars.....

This was an interesting thing to do. I played the exact same tune, a flat picked slowish solo I do at the end of David Olneys 1917, on six different guitars without pause........(had them lined up).

1: Martin custom nylon..... apples and oranges, I love that guitar.
2: Martin 00015-SM Nice, always sounds beautiful, just don't try to be loud.
3: Martin D-15M. OK.
4: LAVA ME 2...... not making friends with this thing yet, at all. Probably my
skill level as the E-E is 1-13/32" (Or 1/32" over 1-3/8") and I sounds quite
sloppy, to the point of "Close the door".
5: Rainsong H-WS1002N2 My cleanest playing guitar, I'll take it over the D-15
any day now.
6: The X-30...... Whoa. I've been playing with small increments in the relief
and I think I've found a sweet spot. Still occasionally buzzes on me, but
it's now more me than the guitar.... And this sound is REALLY growing on
me! And, I play better than on some of the others which is good.....

Anyways.... a fun drill. Really puts the sound and player comfort (for me) of the guitars in perspective.

I've done the same thing a couple of times, and it is really interesting. I think it really helped me learn what I like and do not like in guitars - sound, size, feel, etc...

Awhile back, I also recorded a session like this, and it was very interesting to listen to the differences in sound - same song, same room.

And I did forget to add that the X-30 is by FAR the most comfortable guitar sitting in your lap......
