Default "Yesterday" (cover) on a Larrivee D10 Brazilian

I was blessed to find a Larrivee D10 Brazilian a few months ago. My son and daughter-in-law were just up from Pebble Beach, so we went up in the hills and recorded "Yesterday." Pardon the background wind and noise. We only did one take because rain was coming. Even outside the guitar sounds pretty good, and her voice is amazing. I can't wait to record with it under better conditions .

I agree, both the guitar and your DIL are beautiful, in appearance and sound. One can never really get a true tone representation over the internet (depends on the recording and whatever playback system is being used), but the guitar sounds like it has a nice full bass tone and clean, shimmery highs. Congrats on your find, and I look forward to hearing more!

I really like her voice and that Larri sounded nice. That was an interesting location, too bad one could here cars and some other outdoor noise in background. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it is hard to tell from the internet. She wanted to record something outside in the hills, so this was a quick effort as rain was coming. The D10 Brazilian does have an unbelieveable tone. I also have a D10 in Indian Rosewood, and it is great too, but the Brazilian has more of everything. It has almost a reverb kind of sound to it. It keeps me coming back for more. I want to record some songs inside with better gear.

The location was in the hills by my house, near a reservoir. They let a few cows graze there, it is public park land. It is really pretty quiet up there, but the traffic noise really carried. When the camera pans out, we are overlooking the San Francisco Bay, but it's hard to tell because of the gray day. It's a beautiful spot.
