Any famous guitarist use small guitars as their main?

Neil is mostly known for his Martin D-28 that once belonged to Hank Williams. (Although he has been known to play other guitars from time to time.)

true. true. and i was about to say the same but i believe that i have seen a photo of him clutching a parlour guitar in one of the early neil young complete books... bearded and bedraggled staring with that unnerving, unwavering intensity into the camera... i must go and dig it out and see if can identify the source, era and song. hmmm <wanders off to bookshelf>

Peter Mulvey (click for vid)plays a pretty pedestrian looking Martin 00-15 or 00-15 (I think) and squeezes some nice tone out of it (I reckon it's got a pick up live)

I've seen video of Kieth Urban playing a small acoustic at his concerts. I'm not sure what kind of guitar it is, though...I don't recognize the headstock.

I would say that the more famous/successful the performer is, the more likely that they use smaller guitars, that is, if you consider an OM (Orchestra Model) a small guitar. They eventually realize that superior sound is not about volume and blast abillity, but that smaller guitars tend to have superior balance and often sweeter sound.

Rory Block has a signature Martin OM-40. I have seen her in person, and she plays the hell out of that guitar.

Let's not forget Nick Lucas, mid-1920's to early 1930's. He was popular both as a jazz guitarist and singer. Gibson created for him the Nick Lucas model, which was a 00 body (14" lower bout) with extra depth -- still is I guess.
