Default Truckin

Heres a concept instrumental tune I have been messing with. I call it "Truckin". Very original title huh? I was hoping i could get some feedback on it. This one is on my Taylor 814 and I used a drum machine for the beat.

I don't know how to post a link so just my song pops up, so If you could just click in the player on the right on the song called "Truckin".... i would appreciate it. http://www.myspace.com/rickyellisband

Cool tune. TBH I'd love to hear that as the rhythm and listen to an electric like a Tele with some serious twang really take over. It is a neat tune though as it is, nice job.

Sounds more like a good background for a vocal than an instrumental. Maybe put a lead track over it.

Very catchy tune. I found myself humming 3 bars in. Very nice clean mix. Nice job!

It has a Credence Clearwater Revival vibe to it! Kept my toe tapping. I can imagine this as a sound track in a Cool Hand Luke kind of movie!

Thanks guys. Funny you should mention CCR. It is in C# tuning and I found myself playing something that sounded like bad moon rising a couple times.

Nice...I agree with Ranger though, it's like a really nice rythm track that needs either a good vocal or some sort of melody lead on top of what you have now.

Reminds me of incidental or soundtrack music, never really develops and not meant to hold your attention. Kind of fits with that still of the guy walking down the alley on the left side of your page.

As someone mentioned, you should put a lead line over it if you intend it as a freestanding piece.
