Default NGD two Gretsch guitars

I have been slowly transitioning my mid range guitars to higher end versions. I sold my two Pro Jets and a few other things and ordered a 6228FM Player's Edition Jet BT this week. It should be here Tuesday. I am excited to get this one in!

I also bought a used 6118-135 Anniversary. That one I already have and it's a fabulous guitar!945645DF-061D-43F3-A2B8-5E1FBB2F44C4.jpeg9177DB92-6463-429B-B787-8BC72A7709E9.jpg9B698AAE-1298-480D-A8D7-D98AC527C4D0.jpggretsch-demo-gretsch-g6118t-135-ltd-135th-annivers.jpgG1103844X.jpeg

Congrats! You are on a roll. The Tele build, now a Gretsch in and another on the way?

Use them well, often, and LOUD - can't wait to see the next Gretsch in the stable...

Todd, you're getting some amazing guitars. Let us know how you feel about the differences in the Pro Jet and these upper scale guitars. Is it similar to the Epiphone / Gibson comparison?

So did you get the killer deal on the Players Jet from last week $1399? And I saw an Anniversary in that color a few days ago for sale on the Gear Page, and I thought that color looked GREAT!

I did! I had looked at one on Reverb for about $200 more and almost pulled the trigger, then saw this deal.

I would say it's similar. Epiphone is making some great guitars these days, and when you step up to a Gibson, the difference is noticeable but not extreme. I think it's similar with these. The Pro Jet is a great guitar. The Players Edition of the pro series is just a little better. Better woods, better fit and finish, better pickups, but not a huge jump.

You're in good company with that one. My old band buddy now plays one of those on occasion (or is it just similar?). He played a '58 LP when I played keys with him. That was about 40 years ago, and he must have been about 19 years old at the time, lol.
