MF has these on their Stupid Deal Of The Day. Since MF and GC are the same company I assume you could walk into a GC and get the ~40% off.

I own the A40.
Nothing bad to say about it at all.
I like that the A1000 has 4 channels.

Depending on what you will be using the amp for, you may also want to look at a PA system rather than an amp.
The PA will run you a bit more money but may be worth it in the long run.

I don't gig with the Acoustic A40.
It is for home use.
I use either a JBL Eon One Tower PA or a Bose S1 Pro for my shows.

I just looked at Musician's Friend and indeed the A1000 is on sale for $300.00
That makes it well worth getting one.
If you don't like it, you can return it.

Do complaints with my A20. I'm sure there are more high quality units with tons of extra features, none of which I need. My A20 does everything I need it to do. For larger rooms, DI out.....

The Acoustic A1000 even has 48-volt phantom power on both channels which is always good to have available!
