Taylor American Dream
I'm a "Martin Guy", but I have to give Bob Taylor & Co. huge kudos for releasing the six new American Dream guitars into their lineup while most quality guitar companies are struggling to get even their old catalog of instruments built and into the hands of their dealers during this pandemic. The fact that the American Dream lineup uses solid wood, and V-bracing...and still maintains a price point well under $2000 for any model, electrified or not...is pretty amazing as well.
Has anyone here actually played one yet? If so, how do they stack up against the Grand Pacific Builders Editions that are considerably more expensive? Last edited by TDavis; 07-24-2020 at 07:48 AM. |

Haven't played one yet, but I really like the concept...reminds me of walking into a guitar store in Tucson back in 1990/1991 and seeing my first Taylor 410--all solid wood, less than a grand...still couldn't afford it at the time, but it gave me hope!

The price of solid wood is nowhere near as high as many seem to think it is. I bet Taylor’s materials cost for these guitars is under $300, certainly under $400.
