Default Intonation problem with one string.

I just picked up a very nice Larrivee OM5 that I like a lot. The D string however goes sharp as I go up the neck. All the others are fine. Do you suppose the string is faulty or ? Thanks.

Could be a faulty/old string. Easy enough to test that by changing it.

Could be you are using different strings than it was setup for. Regardless, likely an easy adjustment for a professional of where the string breaks over the saddle .
