So no, not a real man, in fact a pretty twisted person to espouse that kind of thing. People are complicated, but no hero or role model of mine. Maybe he came to his senses as his next marriage lasted 45 years. Hope so.
According to this article in 2006 he had changed his views.

The best Bond by far but so many other great roles, my fave probably "The Untouchables".

Loved the accent "A book fell on my head. I blame my shelf".

RIP

My vote too and the scene in the same movie where he dies in Kostner’s arms is pretty powerful. He’ll be missed.

The wife has never been a spy movie type of gal. After news of his passing she came to me and said, lets watch a bond movie. Last night we started with DR. No. So far, putting aside some chuckles due to the corny fighting, way to cool bond moves for getting the girls and overdramatized evil villain(s) we are set for a bond marathon over the next week or so. Being stuck at home helps but I for one am happy to revisit them.

RIP - Bond, James Bond

My favorite Sean Connery role was as Indiana Jones father. It is sad that he is gone.

A couple years ago I was heading to a gig for which I had to wear a tux. And I happen to own a Walther LP53 pellet pistol (yes, a mere pellet pistol) which Sean Connery posed with in a famous 007 photo. I couldn't resist (see both photos below).
