Hannabach strings
I have a Taylor Jason Mraz Taylor crossover that I enjoy. The normal classical guitar width I really do not like; however, the more narrow width crossover type, like my Taylor, make playing easy to get sloppy. Someone told me about getting Hannabach, I believe it was, just trebles. He told me they are super solid, great sounding strings that are slightly more narrow than typical classical nylon strings. He also said they weren't cheap. Anyone use these? Are all Hannabachs more narrow? medium tension, high tension? Any suggestions?

Not sure about Hannabach nylons being smaller diameter than other nylon brands, but carbon trebles of any brand, Hannabach included, will be smaller in diameter than nylon trebles.

It's a pretty wide generalisation that I couldn't say is fact
As we know strings vary from manufacturer and within their own product range Maybe the hannabach 827 set might be what you seek ? - or something in their carbon range Rectified nylon is also an option Both the labella and savarez rectified are thinner in diameter and sound great Or the above suggestions Hannabach ? - way overpriced - tubby sounding - break and wear issues - just my experience with them Also look into the 'Luthier' string range - some excellent choices there- great sounding string - well priced - the 'popular supreme' range are a thin string in comparison Material is possibly worth considering Nylon - carbon - rectified - Titanyl - etc etc etc The last set of hannabach I bought were the 827mt The trebles started fraying - like spider webs coming of the string The strings decomposed before my very eyes Guess we're not sure either what your comparing them to? What is your current string choice ? Best solution Gather suggestions Spend $50 on trebles from strings by mail or similiar Try them all over a period of 6 months Stick with what works best - and don't be fooled by endorsements

Thanks for your responses! It's not a huge problem, but it just sounded like it might aid my sloppy fingers just a bit.
I've used D'addario ej32 folk and Ej44 nylons. |

I use Hannabach Goldin trebles... they're medium-high tension and the gauges are smaller than standard nylon trebles. They seem to intonate better than other carbon trebles I've tried on my guitar.
Bonus: I think they sound great. |
