I should have known someone would beat me to the sunburst quip pretty quickly.

This could be the JJ Abrams Lens Flare Special model.

I don’t like it... but I don’t hate it either. Easier on the eyes than some of the other painted and super-decorative Martins I’ve seen, but certainly not something I’d want for myself.

got a kick out of the "Left Friendly" terminoolgy
I had to read that twice LOL!!!!

More seriously, what Martin is actually saying here is "Look at us. Out of all the vast range of guitar models we make we now have 2 guitars in our catalogue where we can actually say that the wood used in making them hasn't been illegally logged. Aren't we doing well.".......No, your not!

The irony being that it would be a lot more “earth-friendly” not to manufacture these at all.

I like it, but would have much preferred if they had also painted the back, sides, neck, headstock faceplate with a complimentary blue color too.

Looks like one of those vinyl wrap jobs you see on delivery vans. No thanks.

If I was playing at street fairs and farmer's markets, I would love this guitar - eye catching and different. I would still have to deliver on the music but this guitar would keep me in a good mood out there on the streets.

Oh, and I just realized that Erithon's Hoffee Splatter case (see other thread) would look great with it.

Best,
Jayne

The best thing I can say about that guitar is that it's not quite as fugly as this one:

I think it’s out of this world...and should stay there.

Seriously, to each their own.

Interesting that the product description doesn’t mention the sound it produces. Looks like it came out of the marketing department.
