Looking to get a very good reasonable mandolin?
The Mandolin store has 315 blems. I had a 505 blem and never found the blem. No financial interest. Public interest announcement.

Also no commercial interest, just adding that the Mandolin Store is a great place to buy mandolins. I'm delighted that they're finally back in the great state of Ohio!

If I were buying a mandolin on a budget, I would either go this route, which I have…. Fantastic folks and great setup.
Or. Speak to that Yankee fan in Missouri and get a big muddy. I love mine.

Two very different tones. Big Muddy is a flat top and a fine instrument, but won't do the blue grass thing. I haven't looked to see if the 315s are still available. QC must be insane to blem something I could not find. It's usually a finish issue.
