I spent about an hour a few days ago watching her videos on Youtube. Quite enjoyable!

One of my favorite songs no matter how many 100 times Ive heard it and I still dont think it makes sense but a kinky song like that needs a kinky voice, not a pretty one like hers. No criticism of her singing. We all are familiar with the original but I can hear Lenard Cohen doing it down, funky funky baby.

I was watching Reina’s recent post of her singing Before the Next Teardrop Falls to her grandmother for her grandmother’s 90th birthday, and clicked on the link to this—not sure how I missed it when she first posted it! I came here to post it and of course reve21 beat me to it.

These kids are definitely alright! Toni is such a great guitarist and the duet part with Josh is perfect.

This is the Eagles’ Stairway to Heaven, Hey Jude, Bridge over Troubled Water, and Suite: Judy Blue Eyes — a magnum opus by a supergroup. There’s a lot to like, punctuated by that staccato bass line and thrust skyward by those crisp electric leads. And there’s something hypnotic about the descending chord progression, showing us the power of the V - I “perfect” cadence again and again.

As to this video, those folks are excellent cover artists who clearly love the music. Plus, you gotta love that recording studio — no flutter echo. I especially like the kick drum. And the mix is quite well done.

Although I agree with mercy that the vocalist doesn’t bring the edge we expect, she does deliver a spot-on performance.

I watch Josh's stuff whenever I can. Probably the same river (Rogue) as Harvest Moon, or maybe this one's on the McKenzie (?)
