Help Identifying Guitar
I inherited a parlor guitar from my aunt who recently passed. I don't know much about it except it belonged to my grandfather. It was supposedly made in NY in the 1800s. I haven't found any identifying label or marks other than the hand carved serial number on the back of the headstock. It plays and sounds like a dream. It really is a wonderful guitar. It shows a lot of wear and tear as a well played and loved guitar should. I'm going to try linking pictures...I hope this works as this is my first post here (I've been hanging around for a long time though).
Here it is next to a dreadnaught and a Pimentel Flamenco guitar for size reference. |

You might try having a look inside using a dental mirror - sometimes labels or marks are hidden.
