I知 a sucker for a gold guitar, no doubt about it. But that pick-guard is absolutely beautiful and brings the guitar over the top!

Living in Bakersfield just a mile from Buck Owens Crystal Palace, I find things named Bakersfield interesting.
The Larrivee Tele, Bakersfield named restaurants, and
Now this one.

Bakersfield has been called both the armpit and ******* of California over the years. My friends in LA and the Bay are wonder why I live here.
It ain't the weather or clean air.

Wow, what a beautiful Tele and an amazing pickguard. I just went to the D'Pergo website - they're located in NH. I visited this site before and it must have been from an AGF thread (perhaps you).

How did you find out about D'Pergo?

Default NGD D単ergo Bakersfield

Dru, yeah I believe it was me. I now have a signature Ltd strat to go with the Bakersfield Tele. Basically, from the gear page and a couple of fine AGF弾rs who have owned them.

Hey Rob, I'm sure it was you. I always enjoy seeing NGD threads or reading about small boutique builders. Lots of talent out there.

Does Stefan wind his own pickups or do you ask for something specific?

I've had a Vintage Classic, Aged Vintage Classic, and Limited.

The Limited was undoubtedly the best "strat" i've ever played. No contest.

However, the Vintage Classic was easily the best value for money because it was 90% of the Limited for a quarter of the price.
I regret letting go of that guitar more than any other I've ever had, and I've had plenty! I sold it to fund the Limited, stupidly trying to chase that very last few % of tone.

Cheers,
Steve

Interesting Steve. Yes that last couple of % gets real expensive in both the electric and acoustic world. Sometimes we just need to leave good enough alone!

Here is a shot together of the Signature Limited Strat and the Bakersfield. IMG_0508.jpg
