I tried carbons on my C12 S/R with a bone saddle. In line with the previous mention of shrill, that combo actually hurt my ears. Solved the issue with a tusq saddle to soften the trebles, while still maintaining volume.

If the intonation is that bad, should you not be returning it?
I had a guitar like that many years ago, it went back three times, in the end I gave up and got my money back. The company eventually went bust.
Hope it all works out.

It was gone a day or two after my post. I really wanted it to work but this guitar
was a mess. Refunded.
