This afternoon I made the trek to Robinson Guitars to check the progress of my build.

Things are moving along.

The sides are bent and ready for heel and neck blocks to be installed (tomorrow). The back has been sanded and ready for bracing. The top is ready for the rosette to be installed (tomorrow). The neck carve is complete and the fret board should be ready to glue to the neck (next week). Top bracing should be mounted, shaped and voicing complete next week as well.

It is so cool to be this close to Jake Robinson's shop where I can stop in any time. He is very accommodating and patient with my asking tons of questions.

Things are moving along.......the photos speak for themselves. I hope to have more to share later this week. If all goes well, Jake should have the box ready to close up by the weekend, but, we are expecting a bunch (8-15") of snow tonight and tomorrow. If we get the snow, he will be busy clearing out his mile long driveway.

Love the build pictures, but I’m really digging that old tool chest.

My thoughts exactly! It would be inspiring just seeing that every day.
Speaking of inspiring, your guitar is looking great--congrats!

We have had some nasty January weather here over the past two weeks...and it is mid April!

Work goes on as time permits...here is the body on the sanding table. The pegged overlay, truss rod cover and fretboard are ready to meet their new home and become one with the neck.

Jake is hoping to get the box closed up next week and start on the binding and neck assembly.

Jake does a bolted neck correct? Is he using a single or double action truss rod in this build? The pics are great, look forward to more reports.
