Default Martin dreadnaught custom d

One of these is for sale locally for $750. Says its in mint condition, warranty card not even filled out. Should i bite? Whats the general consensus of these.

I think it's A braced like the 15 series.

I used to own one and they are fine guitars for the money. American made and they sound like a Martin. I wouldn't hesitate if it was in good shape.

I love mine. It holds it's own with the other guitars in my line up.

Just know that you won't be able to register as the original owner for the warranty.

It's a good piece of paper to file away as proof of ownership in the event of theft/pawn shop recovery claim.

That said, it wouldn't stop me from a serious look.

I had one for a while. Really liked the tone and almost everything about it, except the 1 11/16" nut. It really opened up over the first couple of months, and I almost hung onto it because it kept sounding better and better. I just couldn't get along with the narrow for me nut width... I always thought it was a bargain for an American made, all solid wood Martin.

I'm not sure you would be covered under the warranty, even with a blank card, since you would need a store receipt for warranty work I believe.
