It’s pretty simple for me, if it doesn’t feel right, it ain’t right. I don’t sell on CL, but I’ve done some buying. One guy, after some text and phone conversation turned out to be a friend of a friend, so that wasn’t a problem. The few others I’ve done were in daylight hours, public places, and I was packing, as always. I also would never go to a meet up alone. Long story short, talk on the phone. You can figure out a lot by the sellers or buyers demeanor in conversation, if anything seems odd, wish them a good day and forget about it.
