What are your thoughts on these?

Sounds good! Those pickups remind me of the older 90’s era Lace sensors on the Fender Strat Ultras. The tri color ones. Godin has been making some really good electrics going back to the early 90‘s as far as I remember and I’ve owned several. One of my early favorites was this tele with a contoured body and these blade pickups that sounded great (I had the Strat twin to that guitar also). Then they came out with the LG which was a really interesting update to the LP type guitars and they had splittable humbuckers that gave you like 10 different pickup combinations. And the LGX With piezo tones and three separate outputs... and LGX-SA with MIDI too. I think they are one of the more innovative guitar companies that have existed.

Great guitars IMO.

I had a LG-P90 and a friend had an SD, both were very high quality.

Godin branded electrics are top of the line professional instruments, I have the same Tele mentioned earlier. The big boss apparently tinkers and designs the electronics himself, so they are fully custom as far as switching and pickups are concerned. If you like it, you can't go wrong and they are often priced quite well used. I paid $250 for my Artisan TC.

I’m kinda digging this particular model for some reason. I haven’t seen one in person at all.

A little more than I would like to spend, but I do know they are a very high quality product. This particular guitar has Gotoh 510 tuners on it...In general it is pretty high spec from what I can see.

Getting pretty close to the price of an American made Fender Strat I think.

I have not played one so I can't really comment on the quality, though from my experience with other Godin guitars, I anticipate it is very nice. With that being said, trade in or resale value will likely be better on an American Fender since it has name recognition. But honestly, it's all in the tone. Do you like what these offer over a Fender?

Have not played that particular one, but after playing it several times I came very close to buying a Summit Classic Convertible Gold HG (which I thought was very well made and versatile ) had I not gotten a great Black Friday deal on my PRS CE 24

I’m not really sure to be honest. I have very little experience with electric guitars. I’m currently toying with the idea of taking the plunge and getting one. I haven’t even tried anything out in person. Things are pretty under control in Canada with COViD generally, but I’m still not going to make any unnecessary trips to guitar stores just yet.

In reality I need to look at some more videos, and ideally see some in person.

CE 24. Yum. A little more than I was looking to spend for a first electric guitar, but those are nice.

What color did you go with?

Yes fortunately the Black Friday sale brought it down to $1499 when I bought it. (the upper limit of my budget)

Sexy. Very nice man. You had to do that to me....lol

I like those, but they are 2599 Cnd up here. I like those in the Grey/Black. For a first electric that would spendy. Even the Godin at 1825 is a little high.

I bought my Godin at Songbird on Queen street must be close to 20 years ago. $250 for a five year old Artisan TC. I'd go used, if I could!
