Do you ever go to pawnshops around the Houston area.

With as many pawnshops in the great Houston area, you'd probably be able to find an amazing deal on a just MIM, MIJ, MIA Fender strat.

I live about 250 miles south of Houston, and there aren't anywhere close to the number of pawnshops in Houston, and I find AMAZING deals on good quality used guitars 3-5 times a year.

If I were you, I'd familiarize myself with the different Fender models and then go out and hit as many pawnshops as you can on a Saturday, from when they open until they close at night.

It might really be worth the effort if you can score a nice used strat for a great price.

Here are a few strats I found in pawnshops in the last 3 years.

'90 Fender Strat Plus ( paid $300, worth $800-$1000)

'07 Fender '57 AVRI Surf Green Strar (paid $400 , worth $1600 -$1900)

'09 Fender Highway One Honey Blonde (paid $461 , worth $800-$950)

I know I've said this before but that surf green Stratocaster is stunning. (Makes me want to say … turn up the reverb).
