Default Daybreak-Morning Calm {original} (slide show added to thread)

This is played on my Avalon with the new D'Addario XT strings (mediums). They are a week or so old.

Here's a slideshow video I made for the tune as well.

I had a major battle with my refrigerator and doors that lead to my back deck doing this recording.

I lost.

My refrigerator does this thing that sounds like a ball dropping and then the motor ramps up and even though the fridge is on the blind side of my mics and in the next room, its loud enough to echo off the walls. Unplugging the fridge isn't an option as I would have to pull the fridge out 3 or 4 feet to get to the plug. 20 years ago that wasn't a problem. I guess they are making refrigerators a lot heavier now

My french doors that lead to our back deck have a mind of their own. They are constantly flexing and popping with whatever wind there is.

I had to move my recording session into my computer room. Fortunately the computer decided to take a nap while I was recording. Overall I think this is one of my better recordings. I may try more recordings here in the future.

Nice little piece, Barry!! I share your connection and frustration with fridge noises! When I'm recording, I throw the circuit breakers for the "beast" and that solves things....as long as I remember to re-start things afterward!
Best,
Fred

Thanks listening Fred!

If I flipped the breaker that I'd be the guy that forgets to put it back on.
