Another Dave's 2016 Gibson SG Standard '61 Reissue Limited Edition

You can read up on what makes them different in my review, HERE.

That's the Dave's pic

They are pretty cool guitars.

Bought a new 2014 SG standard for good price. It had the robotronic tuners and a brass nut which I swapped out for some nice Gotoh keystone tuners and a titanium nut. Some minor neck dive but not horrible. Neck is fast as lightning. Plays great. Probably the most fun electric guitar I have to play

This SGJ is still a great, go-to SG for me. Who else is an SG fan?

Bob Weir's band Ratdog had Mark Karan as a lead player. He often played a Gibson SG that could just spank you right up against the wall. Real big sound and I just loved that....

Yet I have no interest in Gibsons. I love strats.

I've got a 2016 Special HP with the minihumbuckers that's a work in progress.

I got a smoking deal on her, but I've also done a ton of work on her. So far I've replaced the stripped robotuners which helped the neck dive, filed the horrible fret ends and now she's patiently waiting for a new wiring harness. Ordinarily I would've passed on a guitar that needed that much work, but man, those minihumbuckers are just killer through my marshall.
