Default Jack O'Diamonds - Acoustic Slide

Hi All,

Just to share a version of Jack of Diamonds that I've been working on, developed from the Mance Lipscomb version...
Best to all -Harriet

Excellent, Harriet! I loved it. Good tune. I think I first heard Steve James play that tune. Like Jeff said, please post some more!

Thanks a lot for the kind words!

I met Mance Lipscomb briefly as a teenager in Oklahoma, and for those members who have had a similar experience or have been back stage with one of their idols it was memorable.

I am glad to hear that you like this type of slide playing, as I'm working on a couple of covers of country blues from the piedmont type tradition though usually I study Mississippi Hill music which is often very minimal.

My best,
Harriet

That's great! I bet that was fun. I met Buddy Rich when I was 14... couldn't believe it! Probably my favorite drummer at the time.

I don't get to listen to all of the posts in this section, but I'm glad I got around to listening to yours. I love the whole vibe of your performance.
