So, Mike, inquiring minds (or, at least, this one) want to know - are you actually any closer to placing an order? Or are you waiting for the X40 and the MacPherson Unicorn to be announced?

All in good humour, of course

Someone else thought so too - it's sold.

I'm glad that all worked out for you shortly thereafter. I was sorely tempted........

Before shutting down for the day, I will email Emerald with my questions. I have a ukulele club coming in ~90 minutes to jam in the back yard.
It's been sold a couple times since. I came across it for sale on the Emerald Facebook site and was seriously tempted to grab it back!

Of course!! I’m really waiting for the X25; With maybe a 16” lower bout, maybe something in between the X20 and X30 as far as depth, and those tasty bevels. I’m on the “more compact” side, athletic (like a well-built leprechaun -somewhat appropriate, no?) and a 17” beast seems like it would overly large. Going to see what I can negotiate on a Sable. As enticing as the newly designed X20 is, I think the Sable will tick the boxes for what I am looking for.

I like everything except the new bridge shape. I feel the point has become one of Emerald's signature design features, and complements the shape better than the new one.

I do like the pinless bridge.
Bevels on Bevels!
Some folks will like the improved neck access.
The fretboard swoop looks fantastic.

I expected a redesign of the heel this year, the other changes are unexpected.

Nice video uploaded of Alistair introducing the new redesign of the X20 to Johnny Gallagher. Johnny, as always, is a wonderful ambassador for Emerald, and a mega talented player to boot.

I guess the folks at Emerald are in for a busy time, answering all those questions about X20 orders already placed.

+1! The Emerald X20 neck profile is almost there for me but I'd like it to be less chunky-feeling higher up the fretboard.

That was a fun video. True love and excitement for the new guitar revision and especially the details of the new modifications. And this from someone who uses the X20 to make a living. A joy to watch.

Is this a different video than Alistair's intro from yesterday? If so, I could not find it on the web site....
