Default New Emerald X-20 Fan Fret

This arrived by USPS this morning. I hope to spend some time getting to know her later today.

Beautiful guitar! Congrats! I understand the premise of a fan fret, but have never played one... care to share with us the experience?

I've been playing in altered tunings and the fan fret keeps the bass strings from getting floppy. I picked it up from the post office on the way to work today, so I have not had a chance to wring it out yet. I will let the forum know how it goes.

It's beautiful!

I really love the bridge!! The same transparent color and with the weave showing is a really nice touch and different than most Emeralds.

Congrats.

I need to play a fan fret some day and understand how it feels and works. Very cool.

That looks awesome. Do you mind sharing the fan-fret spread, and nut / saddle width?
