SOLD off forum! Samick HJ-850 Artist Series Hollow Body Jazz Box, Collector Quality!
Selling to replenish funds from a recent Martin purchase.
Purchased from a collection consigned to Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville, this is a perfect example of a one year only model Samick HJ-850, transparent orange hollow body jazz box. You would be hard pressed to find another, let alone one in this condition. No imperfections or play wear. Electronics work as they should. Guitar is more than 20 years old and the protective film has never been removed from the pick guard or truss rod cover. Not sure why but it came with a Guild hard case which is also in perfect condition. Some specifics: Spruce top, maple back and sides, 17 1/8” wide, 3 7/8” deep, 20 frets, 25.5” scale, humbucker pickups, tune-o-matic bridge, bigsby style tremolo. Response to your question: According to the serial number it was produced in December of 2000 for release in 2001. According to Samick information the 850 was produced for one year only…
