J45 ADJ 1965 // $2900 shipped CONUS

This guitar is up again with fresh photos, fresh description and shipping now offered. At $2900, I will absorb the Paypal fees and shipping costs. I will sell it to you for less if you'll pick it up in or near Chicago. This adjustable Gibson J45 dates to May 1965. It's a transitional model between the larger and smaller nuts and measures 1 10/16". The appraisal team at Chicago Music Exchange said it was an earlier J45 ADJ with a pared down nut, not a later J45 with a scaled up one. Which means this guitar is more better. This J45 has loads of character and sounds as good as it looks. - Bridge and pickguard reglued at Chicago Fret Works in May 2021. Neck angle is good, all adjustments made. This guitar is ready to play and has a clean bill of health for a reputable shop. Easy to play. - One repaired crack on the back - One small cleat in the top's bottom bout - All bracing original and good. This instrument features featherweight thin straight braces. - Original ebony saddle - Brazillian bridge and fretboard - Original Kluson tuners - Finish checking throughout - the kind that looks gorgeous, not dirty - Endpin drilled to a super clean 1/2" and ready for a pickup system or a jack plug - CME says the black wings at the neck joint are very old and probably from factory.
