Over the 512? Maybe I think you’re nuts. unless it’s not a 12 fret...

My tele. I just gig it too much to give it up.
And then I can make money from the gigging and buy more guitars |

I know you love that tele, what "kind" is it? I mean, I have a Squire. Is there a particular kind of tele that's best for you?

Which of your children (or parent if you are young) would you offer up for sacrifice?
Said it before but if there was a fire, they'd find my burst out shell, under about five or six guitar cases half way down the stairs! You could simply say your favourite, but for those of us with a collection of favourites ... how to decide? Should you choose the oldest? my prewar archtop? (It's a bit of a collectors piece, but not my favourite guitar. The most costly to replace ? Ahh but everything is insured .... ! The one that I use most when I go out to play ? Well that narrows it down to three ... or four ! What about my unique customised Martin 12 string? or my 000, or the 00 that my wife had built for me, or my Dobro, or , hey what about my wonderful mandolin? Of course, if the house did burn down, (heaven forfend) my instruments wouldn't be my first concerns, it would be my wife, and my insurance docs.

I would certainly take the 914 first. Even if you prefer the 512, you can sell the 914, buy a 514 and have leftover.

It would pain me to have to make the choice because each of my guitars has a special voice and feel. I also have fond memories with each of them.
All of my guitars (8 of them which includes my bass) are replaceable honestly. The one with the most sentimental value would be my oldest, which is my 1999 American Standard Strat. Next oldest by a year is my 2000 Seagul S6 Gloss (my acoustic). It would be a game time decision to grab either the strat or my Seagul. |

My hot rodded Martin D Jr. First Generation with the deeper body. Not even a tough question. I have a lot of much more high end guitars. But this is the one that I have absolutely bonded with.
It is stained and glossed to look exactly like a vintage D-18, has Waverlys, K and K Pure Mini, bone nuts and saddle, trick headstock treatment, etc. I like it so much I am building another one. |

For me that’s easy, it would be my Taylor 114e.

The neck is Warmoth, "boatneck" V shape maple with a ebony fretboard, no feet markers... tuners are Fender locking, bridge and brass saddles are Glendale, and it has a replacement Fender "mint green" (really more "key lime") pickguard. The headstock is painted gold and the logo is from a bottle of Guldendraak Belgian Ale. It's basically a bunch of things I figured out I liked screwed on to one guitar. Posting pics here is a pain, so here's a video: |

My Martin 000-18 will be the one that my estate has to dispose of.

My wife and I were evacuated for 2 nights due to bushfires at the beginning of this year.
I left all my guitars at home. We returned home OK but repacked our car and I included my Huss & Dalton and Rickenbacker bass. We are still surrounded by fires one month later.
