Hope you heal quickly. I messed up my left wrist a few years back in a rollerblading accident - wrists can take a long time to heal. Hope you aren't left handed like me, signing papers sucks when you can't hold a pen.
The last time I landed on my chin I was a teenager playing street hockey. I'm such a wuss I think I ended up "retiring" after that game.

I hear that lefties are not "normal" people and thankfully I'm right-handed. For full disclosure, I was a natural lefty but my parents forced me to switch. So now I'm goofy with both hands.

You definitely have an amazing collection of Olsons, and it makes me happy to see you derive so much pleasure from them as you share your music.
Hey Jon,

Thanks for stopping by. I think the biggest difference with the maple SJ is that I really enjoy strumming it. Not sure whether any actual pieces will come out of it but I find the experience very inspiring indeed.

Otherwise for fingerstyle there is a difference for sure -- but it essentially feels and responds the same as my other SJs.

As for my wrist, I've had much more serious conditions before so no worries. This is nothing. I mostly meant to entertain readers with the story of a really stupid and unlikely accident.

Haha! Wow.... Very impressive line of work and congrats on being your own boss. I'm sure it comes with its own stresses too but it must feel good I'm glad to hear that it isn't anything serious, a great relief. Looking forward to the blind tests though I'm confident I would be able to tell it apart from your other two

Great looking photos. Hope you'll eventually photograph all three Olsons together as well.

Thank you. Not sure what Jim intends to do next year. I'm so glad I was able to secure my three SJs.

I actually tried but didn't manage to take an acceptable group shot yet...

There's a European blonde, a Honduran redhead and a Brazilian brunette waiting for your visit...

Here's a colourful shot for Dennis:

A really beautiful guitar. Nothing like a nice set of curly maple.

I hope she brings you many hours of musical joy.

Really a beautiful guitar, Mau. My favorite shot is the one of the backplate--awesome!

Thank you. I've had the guitar for over a week now and I'm so thrilled with my latest acquisition. No buyer's remorse whatsoever...

Thanks, Kevin. I couldn't imagine a nicer piece for the backplate veneer. Jim did an amazing job all around.

At last, I've recovered enough to attempt an easy recording.

Here's the third and final part of my "Whispering Echoes" suite -- written on the BRW SJ but performed on my new maple SJ:

For comparison purposes, here's part I played on my "Tree" SJ:

And part II, which I recently published, played on my BRW SJ:

Mau, Thanks for once again sharing the first two, and now the third in this suite.........so beautiful, I've listen to each this a.m. The new guitar...perfecto!!!
I'm sure I'm not alone in stating that you have a certain genius in finding and executing melodies that are other worldly and reach deep into the soul. For this, I (we) thank you!
Enjoy the new git.......glad you're recovering and able to produce once again!
Regards,
Fred

For a borderline OCD guy like me, Jim builds the most beautiful guitars...

Thanks so much for your generous feedback, Fred.

I'm glad you enjoyed my latest piece. Nothing too fancy but it comes from the heart...

I've also started working on a couple of contemporary covers but they won't be ready for another few weeks.
