A mirror works just as well with an air guitar.

I came across Eric Skye here on AGF and his amazing YouTube channel and found the NeckUp support.

It instantly saved me. Now I am buying back my older smaller guitars and playing much more relaxed, for longer time in almost (for me) no pain. I play now just like Eric with 1/100th of his talent but at least 90% of his posture with the NeckUp on my right leg. For classical, I use a Sagework support and I’m a big fan of this site:

This is great information! Thank you so much!

I've been playing since 1964. I've never played in front of a mirror.

There is just one way to hold a guitar and that is in the position that feels most comfortable to ..….. You.

You’ll get feedback eventually but you may have to play until a little past sunrise.

Recording with a smartphone and watching it back is less distracting and can be more revealing. And, it tells you how you sound, so when you fix how you look, you'll be able to tell if that's making you sound better or worse . (Changing how I sound does not make me look any different, unfortunately, though on a good [sounding] day there are less pained looks )

I think using a television may be more useful.

In a mirror, everything is backwards, I think too, it would be a distraction.

A television would help you not look at your hands and provide a distraction that is good, get your instincts working.

Works for me.
