Newbie Needs Help

I found an easy Melissa Etheridge song, "A Simple Love" only 3 chords! My problem is strum pattern, can't seem to really nail something down! Experienced folks.....Suggestions?? Thanks in advance!

listen to the recording a million and one times to get the rhythm embedded in your soul.

it will be easier to channel it into a strum pattern on the guitar if you already know it.

alternatively,
invest in an app that slows down recorded tracks, and play along at the slower tempo until you 'get it'.

i prefer the first method. if you 'own' the song in your heart and soul, it's so much easier to learn it on an instrument.
