How does your SC compare sound wise to your Martin om 42?

Gosh, I hate to see great guitars like this languish. This is a stupid low price, considering that Artisan Guitars has a brand new Sitka topped (not Adi) OM/PW with similar abalone purfling and rosette, and no style 42 fingerboard inlays or cutaway either, in stock for $5900.

I've played a bunch of SC OMs in different wood combos, was the previous owner of a German/EIR OM, and now own an OM/PW in Cedar/EIR and short scale. IMHO, I much prefer the OM/PW for its bigger bass response and more vintage voicing. The regular SC OMs sound very pretty and modern, while the OM/PWs sound more like a Martin and are better for bluegrass flatpicking and general strumming.

Don't let a little finish checking sway you from owning one of the best small bodied guitars available by one of the best builders on the planet.

The OM42 is essentially a dred - it's concussive. The OMPW is more orchestral. No preference for me here but they're very different guitars.
